How does the Original Racer Key Sale work?
  1. Purchase an Original Racer Key.
    • Anyone may purchase up to 5 Original Racer Keys.
    • The current price of a racer is ETH on Ethereum, Optimism, and Arbitrum, or WETH (Wrapped ETH) on Polygon, Avalanche, and Fantom.
    • You'll also need to pay gas for your transactions, so make sure to have either:
      • ETH on Ethereum, Optimism, and Arbitrum.
      • Or the native token for these chains: Avax for Avalanche, Matic for Polygon, and FTM for Fantom.

  2. Choose when to redeem your Key for an Original Racer.

    Once we begin Key Redemption you'll be able to go to our KEY REDEMPTION PAGE to redeem your Key in the next batch.

  3. Mint an Original Racer. Done in batches during Key Redemption.

    When we process the batch, we burn each ERC-1155 Racer Key on its chain and send the owner a race-ready Original Racer ERC-721 NFT on the Ethereum Blockchain.

  4. Hooray!

How much does it cost?

  • The current price is 0.42 ETH. The price will increase in tiers. We are currently in Tier 1. You'll also need the native token gas token for your gas to purchase your key: ETH on Ethereum, MATIC on Polygon, AVAX on Avalanche or FTM on Fantom.

  • Key Redemption is an additional transaction on Ethereum that costs gas. We've taken steps to reduce these costs as far as possible in the smart contracts. We cover the cost of gas to send the Original Racer NFTs on EThereum.

When will I get my Original Racer?

  1. Key Redemption Opens around March 7. Starting then, we will begin to mint batches of racers for anyone who has marked their Key to be redeemed on our Redemption Page.

  2. Once the minting for the current batch is complete, we will prepare images and video files for each new Original Racer.

  3. When all of the files are ready, we'll start serving updated metadata, so you'll see what your Original Racer looks like then. In the meantime, you will see placeholder art.

Can I sell or transfer my Original Racer Key?

  • Yes! Original Racer Keys are standard ERC-1155 tokens and may be sold or transferred at any time until redeemed.

  • Transfers and sales of your ERC-1155 Racer Keys are disabled at the time of redemption.

  • You will be able to transfer/sell the ERC-721 Original Racer once it arrives.
